Silver Lake Medical Center (SLMC) is proud to announce its accreditation by The Joint Commission (TJC). With patient safety and quality of care at the forefront of TJC’s standards and initiatives, SLMC’s alliance with The Joint Commission strengthens our patient safety goals and enhances our ability to provide outstanding quality treatment and medical services.

This award guarantees that our health care organization remains in compliance with all of the Joint Commission standards and ensures we have successfully addressed areas for improvement as required by Evidence of Standards Compliance. This accreditation also recognizes that SLMC meets the “Conditions of Participation” (COPs) regulations as required by Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) showing we are in good standing with both of these regulatory bodies. As required by TJC and CMS, Silver Lake Medical Center participates in the recommended Core Measure activity that directs quality care for the patients we serve.

Additionally, in 2002 the Joint Commission first established National Patient Safety Goals (NPSG) to help accredited organizations target critical areas where safety can be improved, such as medication safety and reducing the risk of hospital acquired infections. SLMC has been surveyed and continues to be in 100% compliance with the requirements of these National Patient Safety Goals.
